Every Christmas, the British are waiting for an John Lewis advertisement

As the largest retail chain in the UK, John Lewis is very popular among the British people, because people here can find the feeling of "home" there. Every year since 2007, John Lewis has put out a Christmas AD before Christmas. Although they are commercial advertisements, they are more like micro films with unique creativity, attractive stories, excellent production and perfect music.

Last year's John Lewis Christmas AD video has been viewed more than 6.8 million times on YouTube in just one day. This AD, called Moz the Monster, takes two minutes to tell the story of an English child and the Monster under his bed. The idea for the AD came from John Lewis's longtime partner, adam&eveDDB. The soundtrack is an original beatles song, Golden Slumbers, played by the British band Elbow.

Last year's AD continues the usual warm and moving style, so that many people were moved by the friendship between the boy and the monster.

2017: Moz the Monster

As an important symbol of Christmas countdown, the annual Christmas AD of John Lewis will surprise everyone. I will post several Christmas ADs in past few years, you can find out which one you like most.

2016: Buster the boxer

This AD is based on the perspective of Buster, a comedy bouncing dog. It tells the story of a Christmas gift that both animals and people enjoy.

2015: Man on the moon

This AD tells a story about a girl and an old man on the moon.

2014: Monty the Penguin

The AD mainly shows the lively and lovely interaction between the little boy and the penguin, and shows their intimate relationship incisively and vividly. And this is the one I most like.

2013: The bear and the hare

The AD is telling a story about the friendship between a bear and a hare.
