Every Christmas, the British are waiting for an John Lewis advertisement

As the largest retail chain in the UK, John Lewis is very popular among the British people, because people here can find the feeling of "home" there. Every year since 2007, John Lewis has put out a Christmas AD before Christmas. Although they are commercial advertisements, they are more like micro films with unique creativity, attractive stories, excellent production and perfect music. Last year's John Lewis Christmas AD video has been viewed more than 6.8 million times on YouTube in just one day. This AD, called Moz the Monster, takes two minutes to tell the story of an English child and the Monster under his bed. The idea for the AD came from John Lewis's longtime partner, adam&eveDDB. The soundtrack is an original beatles song, Golden Slumbers, played by the British band Elbow.
